This event is free and open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served.

About the Artist:
Nancy Robinson has exhibited her art work locally and nationally, including a 2009 solo show at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She has been the recipient of many awards including four from the Minnesota State Arts Board. She received several Jerome Mentor/Protegée Scholarship Awards through the Women's Art Resources of Minnesota, where she was a mentor to young women artists. Nancy graduated from Lawrence University, Appleton, WI, with a B.A., cum laude, in English. During her wild youth, she worked briefly in advertising and as a technical writer before becoming a full-time surrealistic painter.

 About the novel:
Minnesota artist Nicky Rigatoni has a lifetime goal: a solo exhibition of her paintings at the Strunt Museum of Contemporary Art. Her path to success is blocked by money problems, gorgeous men, art crises, restaurant jobs, family obligations, Minnesota winters and, worst of all, the ongoing threat of falling in love with the man of her dreams.
