An accomplished product designer, published illustrator and with three design patents to her name, Jamie Kalvestran is bringing her inspirational designs into textile, quilting, home fashions, sporting goods and personal accessories. A graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Jamie holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in product design. Jamie's professional design career includes:
- Designing award winning toys at Tonka and Manhattan Toy.
- Design patents for the protective gear she designed for Rollerblade.
- A summer stint as a costume designer at the The Children's Theater Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- In addition she managed her own wholesale businesses; designing and selling her original equine designs to the equestrian market and creating the Scrap-bags™ brand where she designs and publishes sewing patterns for the independent quilt and fabric market.
An experienced product designer Jamie has developed a first hand appreciation for print pattern design. Jamie currently owns Jamie Kalvestran Design where she licenses and sells her artwork.
She is currently represented by her licensing agent, Marty Segelbaum, MHS Licensing.
